Is the Bible in parables? What are end time events? Has judgment begun?
It is not for you to know...
Hi. I have decided to take a look at what is meant by "it is not for you to know" which appears to be similar to "no man knoweth" . My mind has usually been inclined to think of "knowing" having the same meaning as knowing when it is going to rain or knowing my age or such easy literal interpretations.. the kind of knowing that is the result of stored social information in the natural mind. However, is the Bible using that literal meaning or have I substituted worldly thinking for spiritual discernment? This is my search (which will be in continual review)...
Ac 1:6 ¶ When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time <5550> restore <600>again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know <1097> the times <5550>or the seasons <2540>, which the Father <3962>hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Ac 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times <5550> of restitution <605> of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
