Women Searching The Scriptures

Is the Bible in parables? What are end time events? Has judgment begun?

So what do you think? As we watch videos like "Are We Ready?" we are left to ponder and consider the possibility that the year 2011 could be the end of the literal world or this universe. Are the neat coming together of the numbers of the calendar just coincidental or are they worthy of enough Biblical merit to be weighed deeply in our minds?

Hi Lydia. I was able to read your responses and questions left in the chat area on this forum question. You asked excellent questions that I would like you to give the ladies an opportunity to examine and address. So would you mind posting your questions again here on the forum board? Regrettably the chat extension does not seem to save the texts left there...not sure how I was able to receive your postings there at a later time but they are no longer there. Thanks so much Lydia for your sharing.

bcos i really don't believe it. why? bcos in the bible Jesus Himself said that He didn't know the time only Father knows.
so howcome we as human knows better than Jesus as our God rite?
Jesus only say that we as the believer be ready and be prepare for His second coming

Hi Lydia,
Thanks for sharing. I will try to be brief in response to your questions. I know these things were discussed this past Sunday in The Bible Only room which I think you heard. I will share with you a few verses which has helped me to look beyond the immediate natural understanding of the target verse which is suggested. It is also important to keep in mind as we examine scriptures that the Word of God is in parables and needs to be spiritually discerned with the mind of Christ, not our own natural minds. The things of the Spirit of God are therefore understood by the things of the Spirit of God.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Ac 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
1 Thess 5:1 ¶ But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Hab 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry
Da 8:26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
Da 8:27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

Mr 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

How is it that Christ would not know? He is the Word of God. He is the manifold wisdom of God. In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and understanding. Also, Jesus and the Father are one.
Col 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
1Co 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Joh 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

So when it says, "not the Son" would it really be mean in the light of the scriptures above that Christ does not know? Aren't the "sons of God" the body of the Son of God?
1Jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Ga 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Rom 8:29 ¶ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Since the Word of the God, the Book, was sealed until the appointed time...the time of the end of the total church body (not the natural world) and the departure of the elect, no man (not even the sons of God) knew or understood the day or hour (day/night) or time (noon/ midnight) or season (summer/winter) the judgment of the Lord. However, the sealed Book has been opened and the sons of God have come to know/understand the day and the hour of judgment which is now upon the unbelieving body of Christ, by the Revelation of Jesus Christ. They no longer see darkly but face to face, as they are shown plainly by the Spirit of God the understanding of the parables.
1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
2Co 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Joh 16:25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

Hope this has been helpful. Please prayerfully consider.

By His grace,
Althea
